CRAIG FRANKLIN is the President of Consolidated
Air Support Systems (CASS) LLC. He is the FAA Accountable Executive
for the company. He has over 15 years of senior operations and leadership
experience directing organizations ranging in size from 100 to 25,000
people. He has a demonstrated success record in planning, organizing
and executing successful operational plans in pursuit of organizational
missions. He is a highly effective communicator with specific skills
in Strategic Planning, Accession Planning, Organizational Leadership,
Teambuilding, Financial Stewardship, and Crisis Management.
Prior to joining the CASS Team in 2014, Major General
(Retired) Franklin had a long and distinguished career in the USAF culminating
as the Commander, 3rd Air Force (AF) and 17th Expeditionary Air Force
(EAF), supporting U.S. European and U.S. Africa Commands respectively.
General Franklin was commissioned in 1981 from the U.S. Air Force Academy.
His past assignments include flying duties as an instructor pilot and
later Commander of the U.S. Air Force Weapons School F-16 Division.
General Franklin also commanded a test and evaluation
group and three wings, including command of the 332nd Air Expeditionary
Wing, Joint Base Balad, Iraq. His staff assignments include a tour as
a project officer for the F-22 Raptor program; Executive assistant to
the Commander, U.S. Joint Forces Command, Naval Station Norfolk, VA;
Executive Assistant to the Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff,
the Pentagon Washington D.C; and Vice Director, Joint Staff, the Pentagon,
General Franklin is a command pilot with more than
3,900 flying hours in the F-16A/B/C/D, B-52, B-1B, AT- 38A, T-38A and
T-37B. He is a distinguished graduate of the United States Air Force
Weapons School, F-16 Weapons Instructor Course.
Gen Franklin has a Bachelor of Science degree in
civil engineering from the U.S. Air Force Academy and a Master of Aeronautical
Science degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. In addition,
he is a distinguished graduate of the Air Command and Staff College
and a distinguished graduate of the Industrial College of the Armed
Forces, National Defense University where he was simultaneously awarded
a Master's degree in National Resource Strategy.
Gen Franklin's major awards and decorations include
the Defense Service Medal, Defense Superior Service Medal with oak leaf
cluster, Legion of Merit with oak leaf cluster, Bronze Star Medal with
oak leaf cluster, Meritorious Service Medal with silver oak leaf cluster,
Air Medal with four oak leaf clusters, Joint Service Commendation Medal,
Air Force Commendation Medal, and the Air Force Achievement Medal.
